According to news outlet, Ouest France, former Rangers loanee Lassana Coulibaly, is on the move again.
The 24-year-old spent the 2018/19 season on loan at Ibrox from Angers, making a total of 30 appearances [Transfermarkt].
Despite a promising start, though, his campaign ended as something of a disappointment.
The well-built midfielder initially burst onto the Scottish Premiership scene with a series of powerful performances, but his displays dipped in standard in the lead up to Christmas.
After the turn of the year, and the arrival of Steven Davis and Glen Kamara, he found his opportunities increasingly limited. By the time the Premiership split came about, Coulibaly had already played his last game in the famous Light Blue.
His summer was a little more positive, though. An established Mali international, he played a full part in their African Cup of Nations campaign. The West African nation topped their group with wins over Mauritania and Angola, but crashed out in the round of 16 to the Ivory Coast.
Still, Coulibaly will likely have returned to his parent club optimistic of featuring in Ligue 1 this season.

Yet, it appears he’s still considered surplus to requirements at Angers. They are said to be shipping him off to Cercle Brugge – the side currently propping up the Belgian Pro League after four games – on loan.
This is unlikely to have been the outcome he was hoping for, although given the struggles at Cercle, game time shouldn’t be a problem.
Coulibaly is a talented, if somewhat unrefined midfielder, at this early stage of his career. Importantly, though, he gave 100% during his stint in Glasgow, and let’s hope he makes a success of this second consecutive loan stint.
