The Scottish Sun reports that Jordan Rossiter is close to leaving Ibrox.
That’s as Fleetwood Town ‘believe they are close’ to signing the 22-year-old midfielder.

It’s said that former Rangers player, Joey Barton, who is currently the manager of the Trawlermen, is looking to beef up his squad ahead of the new season.
This time last year, he took another Gers midfielder, Jason Holt, on loan.

Three years and gone

It looks as though Rossiter’s nightmarish Ibrox spell is finally coming to a close.
Given how plagued he has been by injury, you could argue he hasn’t had adequate time to prove himself. Yet, given he’s reportedly earning £10k-a-week [Daily Mail], it’s probably time to cut the cord.
Since arriving in 2016, he’s mustered a measly ten league appearances, with only six of those coming from the start [Soccerbase].
However, he did appear to put his injury woes behind him on loan at Bury last season. He turned out 16 times in EFL League Two for the Shakers, which must have restored some confidence in his body.

Given he was playing in the fourth tier last campaign, a switch to Fleetwood represents a good move for him. Town isn’t a massive club, but they did finish a very acceptable 11th in League One for 2018/19.
