Former Rangers star Alfredo Morelos has ‘five clubs’ tailing him for a transfer – as the striker’s latest Instagram snaps sum up his demise in Glasgow.
According to Colombian outfit Fútbol Red, Premier League duo Everton and Nottingham Forest are legitimate transfer options for Alfredo Morelos following his release from Rangers.

Apparent long-term suitors Sevilla are also mentioned, whilst La Liga rivals Cadiz are freshly linked alongside Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce.
That’s an array of transfer options for the ex-Rangers striker, with Alfredo Morelos leaving Ibrox following six years in Glasgow which ended with something of a sour taste.
Alfredo Morelos partying amid transfer speculation
The 26-year-old forward should be entering the prime years of his career playing games at the top level of football and routinely scoring goals for the Colombia national team.
Instead Morelos is routinely plagued with attitude and fitness issues and has spent the last few seasons seeing an initially promising career stagnate and regress.
Rangers’ greatest ever European goalscorer (29), there was a brief moment in the career of El Bufalo where it genuinely appeared that he might go on to become one of the best young strikers in Europe.
Instead, the striker has been plagued by off-field distractions which even resulted in former manager Giovanni van Bronckhorst banishing the striker from the Rangers squad ahead of the Champions League Playoff last season.
Appearing overweight and uninterested over the last few campaigns, Alfredo Morelos has struggled to get fit in recent seasons and a recent Instagram post of him partying back in Colombia sums up why Rangers fans are relieved to see a once £16m-rated striker leave for nothing.
As Rangers captain James Tavernier is put through his paces in Dubai ahead of the new campaign, Alfredo Morelos enjoys yet more downtime.
Striker has it all to prove
Whilst this Colombian report has Alfredo Morelos touted for two of Europe’s top five leagues, and whilst we’re sure someone will take a transfer punt on him, the ex-Rangers striker’s career is shaping up for disappointment.
It’s not something we ever hoped we’d say for the firebrand Colombian who has some proving himself to do wherever he ends up next.
Let’s hope the forward, who still remains a hero to the Ibrox legions, can restart his career elsewhere and fulfill the promise that had the Rangers support chanting his name for over half a decade.
In total Alfredo Morelos scored 129 goals in 264 games for Rangers, the Colombian joining the Gers in a £1m transfer from HJK Helsinki in 2017.
