Rangers moved on from Morgan Whittaker this summer and the winger is making a huge impact back with Plymouth Argyle.
The Gers were linked with a host of players over the summer, with a number of rumours proving to be wide of the mark.
One intriguing rumour surrounded winger Morgan Whittaker, who had been a target earlier in 2023.
Wales Online claimed in January that Rangers had failed with a bid for Whittaker with Michael Beale keen to bring him to Ibrox.
Swansea City refused to sell and Whittaker saw out the season in South Wales before Rangers rumours popped up again.
The Daily Record claimed early in June that Rangers were in ongoing talks over a deal to finally bring Whittaker to Glasgow.

However, Rangers brought in a number of other attacking signings, leading to Wales Online reporting that Beale and co had effectively back away.
That paved the way for Plymouth Argyle to pounce, signing Whittaker in a club-record transfer worth around £1million plus add-ons.

The move certainly make sense; Whittaker hit nine goals and seven assists in 25 games on loan with Argyle in the first half of last season.
Steven Schumacher wanted Whittaker back and got his wish, with the move certainly paying dividends so far.
The 22-year-old has bagged one goal and three assists in five appearances for Argyle this season, making a strong start to life back at Home Park.

Sky Sports have now named Whittaker in their Championship Team of the Season so far, featuring him on the right wing.
“He’s got the second-most dribbles in the league this season with 12, he has one goal, he has three assists, no-one has more assists,” said host Simeon Gholam. “Whittaker, he’s been fantastic,” he added.
Maybe Beale and Rangers will keep tabs on Whittaker moving forward, with wingers still needed at Ibrox.
If Whittaker continues to impress though, the asking price will only rise – and more clubs will be targeting him.
