Former Rangers midfielder Lassana Coulibaly has been linked with a move to the Premier League and the likes of Wolves and Nottingham Forest.
According to Salerno Notizie, there is strong Premier League interest in the 27-year-old Mali international who had a brief stint in Glasgow under Steven Gerrard in 2018.

Having been with Serie A side Salernitana since 2021, Lassana Coulibaly’s performances over the last two seasons in Italy have earned strong reviews and now a move to the megabucks English top flight could beckon.
According to the report, it could cost around £7m for Wolves or Nottingham Forest to prise Lassana Coulibaly away from Italy and the news will be of interest to Rangers supporters.
Lassana Coulibaly Rangers flashback
The combative midfielder made a strong first impression when he signed on loan from French signed Angers at the beginning of Steven Gerrard’s Rangers reign.
In fact, Lassana Coulibaly was probably amongst the brightest performers in the early part of that Gerrard revolution as the club looked to restore pride domestically and in Europe.
But an injury sustained in an early-season win over St Mirren derailed Coulibaly’s initially promising Rangers career, with the midfielder making 30 appearances and scoring three goals in his loan stint with the Gers.
Wolves and Nottingham Forest calling
Solid showings in France would follow, and the now 30-times capped Mali international has been an inspired signing for Salernitana, even scoring three goals in 32 Serie A appearances this season.
Now it appears that Lassana Coulibaly could be set for a return to the UK via Premier League duo Wolves and Nottingham Forest and it’s not the only Rangers link attached to the reports.
Ex-Ibrox sporting director Ross Wilson – who joined the Gers long after Coulibaly left – is also in charge of recruitment at Nottingham Forest’s City Ground.
