To date, he’s made eight appearances in all competitions, helping to keep four clean sheets, while also contributing at the top end of the pitch with a goal and two assists.

Wilson made his Gers first-team debut back in May 2017, in a 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen at Ibrox, before playing the full 90 minutes again the following week in a 2-1 victory at St Johnstone.

Despite being named on the bench on multiple occasions the following season, he didn’t manage to make any further appearances before heading out on a series of loan spells.

This Edinburgh City stint is his third away from Ibrox, having previously played for Dumbarton and Forfar Athletic.

Unfortunately, the central defender has struggled with injury problems throughout his fledgeling career, and his current Rangers deal is set to expire in the summer.

It’s a big weekend coming up for Wilson, though, as he’s set to get a chance to impress against Premiership opposition, with his adopted side travelling to New Douglas Park to face Hamilton in the Fourth Round of the Scottish Cup on Saturday afternoon.
