Thelo Aasgaard is facing an uncertain future at Rangers after an underwhelming first season at Ibrox.
The Norway international joined the Light Blues from Luton Town last summer for a £3.5m fee.
He has not yet justified that outlay, scoring just eight goals in 48 appearances in all competitions, along with providing five assists.

Derek McInnes has spoken to Aasgaard about him being deployed in a midfield position for next season.
The 24-year-old is an attacking player by trade, but likes to play centrally and get involved in the build-up.
He has lacked that clinical edge in front of goal, and perhaps that is something the Rangers manager has noticed.

Sun Sport’s Andy Devlin thought that the Norwegian would be moved on in the summer, but that is now not expected to be the case.
He said: “Derek McInnes has spoken about working with him, certainly in that midfield area.
“He’s actually one I’m surprised by. I thought he might be one that Rangers might look to move on in the summer, but then McInnes obviously sees something there and is keen to work with him.”
How can Aasgaard become an asset for Rangers next season?
One thing that worked against Aasgaard last season was that he was signed under one manager, but played most of his games under another.
This saw a lack of positional consistency, with him alternating across roles such as a number 10, central midfielder, as well as a right winger.
In order to avoid him having another poor season, what can be done is that McInnes can ask him to start getting on the ball more, as that will increase his confidence.

He is also good at striking the ball from distance, so he could be encouraged to take more long-range shots.
As McInnes demands intensity and physicality, he could ask Aasgaard to compete in more duels and attempt to fight in second-ball situations.
There is a good chance that the Gers boss will have set up individual drills for the same for Aasgaard in pre-season.
