Robbie Ure appears to be leaving Rangers this summer having appeared as a trialist fur Dutch side AZ Alkmaar.
The Gers confirmed a raft of departures from the academy setup back in June.
Kai Kennedy – once tipped for stardom – was among those to be let go, alongside players brought into the academy from other sides.
Alex Kpakpe, Charlie Lindsay and Tony Weston were let go with Rangers somewhat clearing the decks from the youth ranks.
One name missing from the announcement was Robbie Ure, leaving his future somewhat up in the air.
The 19-year-old striker has been in the Rangers ranks for a long time now but seems to be moving on.
What has been reported about Robbie Ure’s Rangers future?
We have to go back to February here as Football Insider reported that Ure decided he wanted to leave Rangers.
It was suggested that Ure’s contract was coming to an end this summer and he had actually rejected a new deal.
Other clubs allegedly wanted Ure in January but nobody would meet Rangers’ asking price for the striker.
Rangers weren’t able to change Ure’s mind and whilst his exit was never confirmed, it looks like he is indeed moving on.
The Scotland Under-19 international smashed 17 goals and eight assists in 33 Lowland League games last season as well as three goals in six UEFA Youth League games.
Ure was only able to pick up three first-team appearances though and is now ready for something new.

Robbie Ure spotted with AZ Alkmaar
The Scottish Sun now report that Ure has joined Dutch side AZ Alkmaar on trial.
It’s stated that Ure will now spend the week on trial with AZ in the hope of winning a contract over there.
Ure has been pictured in an AZ shirt having already featured in a developmental game.
Former Rangers defender Arthur Numan serves as AZ’s chief scout and may well have been the one to spot Ure.
The Scottish Sun even add a photo of Ure speaking to Numan after featuring for the Jong AZ side.
Ure will hope to impress this week and land himself a permanent deal in the Netherlands as he sets on a path to try and show Rangers what he can do.
