Denis Bouanga can’t stop scoring after Rangers tried to sign him

Rangers missed out on signing Denis Bouanga last summer and the LAFC star is in blistering form over in Major League Soccer.

It’s vital that Rangers add more attacking quality for Michael Beale this summer.

Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos are out of contract whilst there will be questions over the futures of Scott Wright and Rabbi Matondo.

Rangers will be looking at a number of attacking signings and the likes of Josh Maja and Luis Palma have been heavily linked.

The Gers may just have some regrets at not being able to push through a deal for Denis Bouanga last summer.

French outlet Le10Sport claimed last summer that Rangers had made an approach to bring Bouanga to Ibrox.

Rangers didn’t meet the £4.2million asking price though and Bouanga ended up heading to the United States instead.

LAFC pounced and Bouanga is really repaying their faith in him this season.

Denis Bouanga can’t stop scoring after Rangers missed out

LAFC hosted Austin FC over the weekend and Bouanga just couldn’t be stopped.

The Gabon international scored a hat-trick to fire LAFC to a thumping 3-0 win.

That performance continued Bouanga’s absolutely ridiculous form to start the new MLS campaign.

Bouanga has smashed six goals in six MLS games as well as finding the net five times in three CONCACAF Champions League outings.

That’s 11 goals in just nine games to start the 2023 season with LAFC with Bouanga simply destroying defences.

Whether he’s playing out wide or as a striker, Bouanga is on fire this season.

Rangers may be looking at Bouanga’s form and wondering whether he could have done similar for Michael Beale’s side.

Whoever Rangers do bring in this summer, they just have to hope for similar form to Bouanga as he finds the net on a regular basis.
