Michael Beale has said that he is encouraged by the start that his new forward line has made for Rangers despite only Danilo and Cyriel Dessers scoring more than one goal.
It’s well publicised that the Gers boss spent some £13m on strengthening his attack but he could have done it without splashing out and, possibly, with better results too.
In Jean-Phillipe Krasso and Michael Olunga, Michael Beale could have had the number nine that he wants Danilo or Cyriel Dessers to be for Rangers, both on free transfers.

Rangers linked strikers show Danilo and Dessers the way
One summer target who hasn’t really hit the ground running is Josh Maja.
The perennially linked former Bordeaux striker signed for West Brom but has yet to score, in fairness, he has only seen 67 minute’s worth of action though.

Krasso, who is now at Red Star Belgrade is producing the sort of form that Rangers fans would have been hoping Danilo or Dessers came with.
With five goals and two assists in six games, the 6ft 2inch tall Ivory Coast international could have made a big difference for Rangers .

Olunga is in similar shape with four goals in four games and, if Michael Beale is to save his job, he needs one of his new recruits to go on a similar hot streak.
Spending money post-Bosman doesn’t always equate to quality and managers have to get the balance right between wages and transfer spend.
In this instance, Beale might begin to wonder if spending on a new winger and centre-half would have been money better spent when there were bargains like Krasso and Olunga to be had up front.
