On Friday morning, well-known Twitter page Scouts in Attendance claimed that Crystal Palace had sent a scout to watch Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos the previous evening.
El Bufalo pitted himself against the likes of Pepe in the Porto defence and made a telling contribution.
His ruthlessly dispatched finish in the 44th minute earned the Gers a point at the Dragao.
The goal came shortly after he had struck the crossbar and he had a second header well-saved by Marchesin in the second-half.

If Palace did have a representative in Portugal to cast their eye over Morelos, it can come as no surprise.

That form has seen him return to the international scene with Colombia, as his stock continues to rise.
What’s more, he’s cleaned up his act considerably in terms of discipline.

Given all those factors, interest from bigger leagues was always going to come. Concerningly for Bears, Morelos has never been shy in expressing his admiration for and desire to play in the Premier League [Birmingham Mail].
Palace are currently sixth in the English top-flight, but are lacking an out and out goalscorer – a void that on current form, the Ger is surely capable of filling.
