On Friday, the Scottish Sun reported that Motherwell winger, Jake Hastie, was on the verge of signing a four-year deal with Rangers, via a pre-contract agreement.
However, latest developments suggest the move is far from finalised. In fact, via the Evening Times, Hastie insists that he hasn’t entered talks with anyone yet.
Now, a report in the Express claims Crystal Palace have entered the race to sign the teenager.
The lure of an established Premier League side, could spell trouble for the Gers.
It’s claimed that the London-based club will send a representative to watch the highly-rated talent in SPL action against Hamilton, later today.
A potentially substantial development fee for the player doesn’t appear to have put them off.
According to the report, Hull and Derby County are also interested. Both Championship teams are said to be sending their own scouts to Fir Park, this afternoon.
