Coventry City supporters have responded on social media after Rangers were linked with a future transfer swoop for Gustavo Hamer.
The Glasgow Times reported via PA on Thursday afternoon that Hamer was on the Gers’ radar.

Interest has been denied by an Ibrox spokesman, but the report claims that although the Sky Blues are determined to hold onto the 5ft 6″ midfielder this month, Rangers are considering a future move.
Hamer started a pre-season friendly against the Gers at Ibrox in July 2020, shortly after joining his current club from PEC Zwolle, and the suggestion is that he impressed Steven Gerrard in that outing.
The 23-year-old has been a key man for Coventry so far this season, starting all but one of the 19 Championship fixtures he’s been available for, scoring four goals and notching two assists.
Therefore, their fans aren’t happy about the idea of him leaving.
Here’s a selection of reactions from Twitter:

It’s clear to see that Coventry supporters rate Hamer highly, with a transfer fee of £10m seen as achievable by several supporters.
That would constitute a major mark-up on the €1.5m (£1.3m) the Sky Blues paid to bring him to England from the Netherlands in the summer.
Coventry will hold all the cards if and when clubs register interest, though, as the Brazil-born midfielder is contracted until 2023.
Midfield isn’t the only area in which Rangers are reportedly looking to strengthen, with the club also linked with a promising Liverpool striker currently on loan at a Bundesliga club.
