Rangers are very much at the start of a new era with a feeling of excitement about how high the limit might actually be.
Dave King and co. were the right people at the right time in 2015, but they have taken the club as far as they could and the 49ers Enterprises have the sort of gravitas needed to take the next step.
Basics like recruitment will have to improve, however, the appointment of Kevin Thelwell should make a huge difference across every aspect of the Rangers squad and academy.
There finally seems to be a unified direction that the club is heading in.
One aspect of the recruitment that is being addressed is the lack of homegrown talent with Lyall Cameron the next Scot to join Rangers and who signed off his Dundee career in the sort of style reminiscent of a former Ibrox hero.

Lyall Cameron signs off before Rangers move with Dundee double
Nicolas Raskin has started to chip in with goals lately, but Mohamed Diomande should be scoring more than the six he accumulated in 54 games this season.
There are mitigating circumstances given that they were played in a two for much of the campaign and also had to deal with a lot of defending and covering a lot of ground.
Cameron, with 14 goals and nine assists in 41 games has shown that he can be a difference maker, and in a team that only just avoided relegation.
Watching his two goals on his last game for Dundee and it is hard not to be reminded of a certain Scott Arfield, someone who always seemed to be in the right place at the right time.
Cameron has a similar versatility in that he could play in a midfield three as a No.8 or, depending on who the next Rangers manager is, as one of two No.10s with the full-backs providing the width.
Exactly the sort of job that Arfield used to do so effectively for Rangers.
He didn’t always start, but Rangers have missed someone who can score goals from midfield since the likes of Arfield and Aribo left the club.
Cameron already at home as he fires Celtic jibe
Speaking to Sky Sports after his last game for Dundee, it is clear that Cameron is looking forward to taking the step up for Rangers;
“It’s an unknown but it’s a challenge and I’m really looking forward to going somewhere different and challenging myself at a higher level.
“I accept that I’m going from one of the smaller teams in the country to the biggest, so it’s not going to be easy and I’m going to have to work hard for my spot in the team.”
The biggest? Yes. And hopefully, this time next year, Rangers will also be simply the best once again.
