Rangers could now see a bizarre turn of events with winger Luis Palma now wanted by bitter rivals Celtic.
A number of names have been linked with Rangers this summer and some ended up being wide of the mark.
In the case of Aris winger Palma, we never really seemed to get a definitive answer one way or never.
Athlos News claimed in May that Rangers had offered £2.5million to sign Palma, but the bid was rejected.
The rumour went completely quiet though and we have instead seen Palma linked with moves to England.
First it was Watford as The Daily Mail suggested in July that the Hornets were chasing a loan deal worth £850,000 with a £4.5million option to buy.

Then it was Stoke City; again The Daily Mail reporting this one, suggesting that the Potters were opening talks over a £3.5million deal.
We’re nearing the end of the transfer window now and Palma is still an Aris player – but he could stun Rangers fans soon enough.
Celtic now chasing Luis Palma deal
You read that right – Celtic are allegedly moving in for Palma now.
Daily Mail reporter Stephen McGowan – generally one of the top sources in Scottish football – reports that Celtic are eyeing a late £3.5million deal for Palma.
The full Mail Online article claims that Celtic have now launched a £3.5m offer to sign Palma before the dealdine.
Celtic lost Jota to Saudi Arabian side Al Ittihad earlier this summer and may want Palma to replace him on the left flank.

The Honduran international joined Aris in January 2022 and has racked up 17 goals and 11 assists in 52 appearances.
An exciting wide man with plenty of potential at just 23, Palma seemed like a fascinating replacement for Ryan Kent at Rangers.
Instead, we could now see Palma line up against Rangers as a Celtic player in a twist of fate few could have predicted.
We’re sure Palma will be subject to a few boos if he rocks up to Ibrox as a Celtic player, but there is a long way to go in this transfer yet.
