The Daily Star reports that three big English clubs are interested in signing James Tavernier.

Incredibly, he turned out in 57 of the Gers’ 60 matches, playing in every Europa League tie and missing just a single fixture in each of the three domestic competitions.
As demonstrated by back-to-back home Old Firm clean sheets, he has improved his defending under Gerrard. However, his most remarkable contributions have been in the final third.
He finished the SPL season with both 14 goals and 14 assists. Even penalties aside, his influence was huge.

Now, perhaps unsurprisingly, it’s reported that Aston Villa, West Brom, and Brighton are all interested.
Villa are looking to bolster their full back options for the Premier League, after gaining promotion via the Championship playoffs [Daily Star].
Brighton are also mentioned in the report and that interest is corroborated by TEAMtalk. They claim new manager Graham Potter is planning to swoop for both Tav and midfield sensation, Glen Kamara, this summer.

Championship side West Brom are also mentioned by the Daily Star, with Baggies interest previously reported by the Daily Mail.
It’s
vital that Rangers keep hold of a key player like Tavernier if they want to challenge for the league next season, but if these reports are to be believed, their resolve will be tested.
He’s currently rated at £1.8m by Transfermarkt, but it will take a lot more than that to convince Gerrard to part with his skipper.
Gerrard recently heaped praise on the defender, as quoted by the Sunday Post:
“He’s got the body and capacity for any league out there. In saying all of that, I want him in this league, and in my team.”
