Rangers have received a big boost after Filip Helander rubbished reported interest from Premier League clubs Leicester City and Aston Villa [Fotbolskanalen].
Helander has been a key player for the Gers ever since he signed from Serie A side Bologna for £3.5m in the summer of 2019 [Scottish Sun].

The centre-back has made 29 appearances in all competitions so far this season and is still yet to lose a league match as a Rangers player.
Unsurprisingly, it’s been suggested that he’s impressed clubs in the English top-flight, with Aftonbladet crediting both the Foxes and Villa with interest.
Helander is under contact until 2023, though, and it seems his head hasn’t been turned.
“It’s just speculation,” he said [Fotbolskanalen]. “I feel good here and I have two years left on my contract here. That’s really the only thing I think about.”
“I want to continue to perform well at Rangers and then hope to be able to join the European Championships this summer. This is where my focus lies.”

It’s a big boost for Steven Gerrard and Bears to hear that the Sweden international is happy and intent on seeing out his current Ibrox deal.
At 27, he’s in the prime of his career and he will be a big asset next season as the Gers look to defend their Premiership title and make it to the Champions League proper.
Meanwhile, a 31-year-old player looks set to leave Ibrox for nothing in the summer as his contract runs down.
