The Daily Record reports that Bayern Munich are considering a swoop for formerly Rangers linked Hearts defender Aaron Hickey.
The young full-back burst onto the scene at the back end of last season, turning out twice against Celtic aged just 16.

He became a regular in the first-team across this campaign under both Craig Levein and Daniel Stendel, and there’s been plenty of speculation that he could soon land a move to a bigger club.
Back in October, the Scottish Sun claimed that Rangers were considering a £2 million move, while Manchester City were also said to be interested.
However, this latest Record report claims that Hickey has also been turning heads outside of Britain.
It’s suggested that reigning Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have a ‘strong’ interest in the young defender and that they have studied footage of him in action in recent weeks.
Hickey’s contract is set to expire at the end of next season.

Verdict
It was little surprise that the Gers were linked with Hickey earlier this season. Any 17-year-old turning out regularly in the Premiership will attract attention and Craig Levein labelled him as the most two-footed player he’s ever seen [Edinburgh Evening News].
However, the rumours lost momentum as the season progressed with the teenager struggling as part of the second-worst defence in the top flight.
If this latest report is to be believed, though, that hasn’t put everyone off.
Lightweight Hickey is as yet nowhere near Bayern standard, but the German club did snap up Celtic prospect Liam Morrison last season and could hand out a development deal.
One thing is for sure, with the likes of David Alaba, Joshua Kimmich and Benjamin Pavard amongst the first-team ranks, he would have plenty of role models in Munich.
