Barry Ferguson has been pleased with the transfer developments at Rangers under the stewardship of Derek McInnes.
The Light Blues have made five signings in this window as things appear to be shaping up well ahead of the new season.
They even began their pre-season strongly, beating Raith Rovers 5-1 in an exciting contest at the Rangers training centre.

Barry Ferguson thrilled with Rangers signing Dan Neil
Barry Ferguson appears pleased with the Light Blues’ summer transfer arrivals, but has singled out the arrival of Dan Neil.
Rangers lacked that bite in the middle of the park for periods of last season, and they have gone towards addressing that by signing the former Sunderland midfielder.
Signing him on a free transfer is a low-risk and high-reward deal, which only benefits the player and manager.
Ferguson has also seen a lot of him as a youngster to be thrilled with his arrival.
What are your expectations for Dan Neil at Rangers next season?
The midfielder comes with leadership credentials at Sunderland…
Ferguson told the Daily Record: “There is one family connection to Rangers this summer that I am quite keen to talk about and that’s because it concerns Dan Neil.
“Rangers appear to have made five good acquisitions so far in this window and Dan is one who I’m delighted to see at Ibrox.
“I’ve seen quite a lot of him and here’s the reason. Because, when I was a young kid, I used to go down to Sunderland with my old man every second week to see my brother Derek play at Roker Park.
“He’s somebody that I really enjoyed watching and, when I knew there was a genuine Rangers interest in him during this window, I thought he was an individual who could really help and make a difference to the team at Ibrox.”

What has Derek McInnes said about Neil’s arrival?
McInnes is one of the driving forces towards bringing Neil to Ibrox as the deal was given the green signal and accelerated when he arrived.
He labelled the 24-year-old as someone who is technically gifted and one who would bring energy to the side.
The Scotsman was also pleased with the fact that he would bring leadership to the dressing room, and the midfielder is expected to be an important first-team player.
How will you remember Jack Butland for his time as the Rangers number one?
McInnes said: “I’m absolutely delighted to welcome Dan to the club. He will be an excellent addition to our squad.
“He is a technically gifted midfielder who is strong in possession, can contribute goals and brings tremendous energy to the team.
“At 24, we are signing a player who is hungry and ambitious, but who already possesses significant experience and leadership qualities, having captained Sunderland to promotion to the Premier League in 2025.
“I’m really looking forward to working with Dan throughout pre-season as we prepare for the challenges ahead.”
