Manager, Dean Smith, has described his new signing as a player of ‘immense talent’ and the versatile forward says he’s ‘very happy’ to be back in England, where he began his professional career with Chelsea [avfc.co.uk].

Aston Villa complete Traore signing amid links to Rangers striker Morelos – Verdict

This deal all but confirms that Villa will not make a move for Gers star Morelos before the end of the transfer window.

The Villains stumped up a considerable fee for Traore – in the region of what Rangers are demanding for Morelos – having already broken their transfer record earlier in the summer with the signing of Ollie Watkins from Brentford for an initial fee of £28m [BBC Sport].

Brazilian striker Wesley is currently out injured but with Mbwana Samatta and Keinan Davis waiting in the wings, Smith now has plenty of attacking options for the season ahead.

Steven Gerrard recently suggested that despite all the speculation surrounding Morelos, the forward could stay at Ibrox beyond the current window [Sky Sports] as the Gers eye major silverware.
