Under 24 hours ago it was reportedly signed, sealed and delivered that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos would be joining FC Porto.
Reports coming out of Portugal – from leading radio station Antenna 1 in the country – claim that the Colombian international will join the Portuguese giants this summer.
This followed a week of reports originating in Portugal which suggested the Dragons were tailing the player, Morelos having scored twice against them in 19/20 and once against Benfica last season.
However, now there are claims emerging from another newspaper based in Portugal which suggests Porto are both in no rush to conclude a deal and put off by Rangers’ asking price.
A Bola via Sport Witness kicked things off by suggesting the Dragons were considering a move to replace Moussa Marega, who has moved to Al Hilal.
Rangers’ asking price was said to be a stumbling block with Porto rejecting even the notion the player could move £10m according to A Bola.
The Portuguese outlet would also suggest that the Gers have rejected a £6.8m (€8m) bid from Serie A side Cagliari.
The Scottish Sun would then claim that Porto are set to test Rangers’ resolve with a bid imminently, somewhere in the region of £10m.
Now, Portuguese outlet Record via Sport Witness is claiming Rangers actually want £13.8m (€16m) for Morelos with the price an issue and Porto not in dire need of striking reinforcements.

So, whilst there are plenty suggesting that a deal is all but done – at least in principle – there are still murmurs that any Morelos move could be a long way off.
