Rangers are said to be on the lookout for a midfielder that will strengthen their engine room and subsequently, Croatian U21 starlet Marko Bulat has been looked into.
The Ibrox club have had to deal with a swathe of central midfield injuries this season and one way to combat that would be to recruit for the position in January.
Nicolas Raskin is only just returning from his lay-off, with the struggling Jose Cifuentes and injury prone Ryan Jack not exactly reliable options for manager Philippe Clement.
As such, Football Scotland journalist Mark Hendry is now reporting that the Ibrox recruitment team led by Nils Koppen have being looking into Bulat, who plies his trade with Dinamo Zagreb.
Marko Bulat Rangers interest

Football Scotland’s report states that Marko Bulat wouldn’t be against a January exit after notching seven goal contributions in 23 games so far this season for Dinamo.
However, there is one huge stumbling block that will likely prevent Rangers from doing a deal. And that is Bulat’s asking price.
That has allegedly been set at approximately £5m and it just isn’t plausible to see Rangers splurging that sort of money during a January window.
So while he is reportedly being monitored by Koppen and the Govan giants, this one doesn’t seem very realistic in getting to the point where Bulat signs terms with the club.
Bulat is 22 and is 5’10” tall. He began his youth career at Sibenik before being picked up by Dinamo Zagreb in 2021.
Overall, Bulat has played 73 times for the HNL side and has registered six goals and five assists. The midfielder has experience of winning titles, boasting three major honours in his Dinamo trophy cabinet.
