Rangers have been linked with Jens Hjerto-Dahl and even tried to sign him in January.
However, that move did not materialise, and the Norway Under-21 international stayed put at Tromso.
The midfielder seems to have made the right decision as he has been in exceptional form, scoring a hat-trick last month, and looks to continue winning games for his team.
The title race is expected to go down to the wire…
Who will win it?
Rangers will have to shell out £10m for Jens Hjerto-Dahl
According to The Scottish Sun, Tromso are holding out for a £10m fee to part ways with Hjerto-Dahl.
The 20-year-old is expected to leave this summer, with Wolves lining up a move for him despite their relegation to the Championship.
Along with the Molineux outfit, Hamburg and Sporting are also keeping tabs on the highly-rated Norwegian midfielder.

Rangers are keeping tabs on Hjerto-Dahl, but it remains to be seen if they prioritise him this summer after a failed pursuit in January.
The midfielder has spoken about his decision to stay put at Tromso over the winter, and believes that he made the right call.
However, things appear to be a lot different ahead of the summer transfer window, given the number of clubs keen on securing his services.
Who should Danny Rohl name as the next captain? Let us know in the comments!
Is a move to Ibrox likely for Hjerto-Dahl?
Rangers have been fans of the Norwegian for the last few years, and news of him being open to leaving would certainly be positive for them.
However, they need to consider their finances and gauge which positions are more important.
As many as 11 players could leave Rangers in the coming months, with a lot of them being defenders and attackers.
After signing Tochi Chukwuani in January, Danny Rohl has four decent central midfielders to choose from and is unlikely to prioritise spending that kind of money on another defender.
If he is getting a right-back or winger who strengthens the playing eleven and will take the team to new heights, a £10m outlay would make a lot of sense.
However, as things stand, a move for Hjerto-Dahl is highly unlikely.
