After a terrific 1-0 win in Croatia against Osijek, Rangers fans are praising Alan McGregor to the hilt after another commanding display.
Steven Gerrard’s new-look side will take a lead back to Ibrox after Alfredo Morelos’ header put them in control of this Europa League second round qualifying tie.
It was a bit of a smash and grab performance to say the least, with Osijek controlling much of the ball but failing to get past what’s looking like a stout Rangers defence. However, most of the praise seems to be heading McGregor’s way, with supporters over the moon to have their former hero back between the sticks.

The number one didn’t have an awful lot to do, but it seems his ability to read the game and his concentration is keeping supporters feeling safe. McGregor also racked up his fourth straight clean sheet with the victory.
Here’s a look at what the fans made of McGregor’s performance in Croatia:

With four consecutive clean sheets now in the bag, a fifth would guarantee a third qualifying round meeting with either NK Maribor of Slovenia, or Georgian outfit Chikhura Sachkhere. Rangers last met Maribor in 2011 when they were knocked out in a Europa League qualifier by a 3-2 aggregate defeat to the Slovenians.
For now though, all eyes will be on McGregor and co as they look to put this second-round qualifier to bed against Osijek next Thursday at Ibrox.
