Rangers striker Jermain Defoe has unveiled a special video of the day after he signed for Rangers, showing him turning up at Ibrox, being let in by security and kissing the pitch.

The veteran England striker has become a fans favourite at Ibrox over the 14 months which he’s spent at the club and the video shows you why.

Defoe has embraced life at Ibrox on and off the park as the 37-year-old pens a deal which will keep him in Glasgow until the summer of 2021.

Defoe’s record at Rangers has been superb so far, with the striker netting 25 goals in 52 appearances.

Only 27 of those appearances have been in the starting XI.

This season, the former Spurs, Portsmouth, West Ham and Sunderland man has 13 goals in the Scottish Premiership alone.

Not bad for someone edging closer to their 40th birthday.

His goals have seen him become a real asset for the Ibrox club but it’s Jermain’s attitude towards life at Rangers which has supporters excited.

The striker genuinely seems to relish life at Rangers and even blared out Simply the Best in his back garden during lockdown to get a taste of the Ibrox atmosphere again.

His positive attitude and personality is more than welcome at Rangers and the 5ft7 forward has more than endeared himself to the Ibrox faithful.
