It’s always interesting when Rangers publish a gallery from training in the build up to a fixture.
Gerrard’s men travel to Hamilton on Sunday, and the photos can sometimes throw up indications on availability.
In the photo’s accompanying the club’s Twitter post, we see the likes of Steven Davis, Kyle Lafferty and Nikola Katic, who will all be hoping for some involvement at the weekend.
Yet, when you delve into the gallery via the link, a near forgotten man features.
Gareth McAuley.
It’s fair to say the defender hasn’t had the dream start to his Ibrox career.

Yet, for the first time in his career, injuries have really held him back.
At 39, he’s no spring chicken, and unfortunately, he’s struggled to get up to speed.
His last SPL outing was in the chastening defeat to Kilmarnock, last month.
It may have been Joe Worrall’s error that cost the Gers the points, but McAuley looked shaky throughout the game and it’s cost him his place in the side.
His only appearance this month was for the Reserves, and he has failed to even make the first team bench on several occasions.

At least this picture shows that he’s fit and trying to gradually get himself back to his best level.
Yet, a return on Sunday would be a surprise.
Connor Goldson and Joe Worrall have struck up a good partnership of late, while it looks like Nikola Katic may be the next cab off the rank.
Injury or suspension may need to strike before McAuley gets back in, but when he gets another chance, he has to take advantage of it.
