Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos is back in the Ibrox squad ahead of the visit of Kilmarnock – and channeling his inner Paul Gascoigne with a new haircut.

The Colombian striker, 26, will return to Rangers fold this afternoon after five months on the sidelines and with the Ibrox side lacking a spark it couldn’t come soon enough.

Undoubtedly the fan favourite amongst the Ibrox support, Alfie does what he wants and as evidenced by El Bufalo’s latest trim he’s ready to spark some change at Rangers.

Dying his hair peroxide blonde, the striker’s new look has got a distinct similarity to that of legendary England midfielder Paul Gascoigne during his Ibrox pomp.

Gazza famously inspired a generation of young boys in Glasgow to send their mothers crazy when he rocked up with the haircut in the 90s and if Alfredo Morelos can reignite the Rangers attack perhaps another generation of bluenoses will follow suit.

But whilst it’s great to see Alfredo Morelos back in Rangers training and smiling, the best news regarding the striker concerns his imminent return to the Rangers squad.

Missing the bulk of the second half of last season through injury, Morelos was sadly missed at home and abroad and there is no bigger news than the talismanic forward returning up top after five months out of the side.

The striker had sustained a season-ending injury whilst on international duty mid-season with Colombia.

“The biggest change will be that Alfredo will be in the squad,” said van Bronckhorst [Rangers].

“He has been training really hard the last weeks with the squad and we think he is ready to be in the squad for tomorrow and hopefully he can play some minutes as well.”

OK, so whilst we might’ve overcooked it a little by chucking Morelos straight back into the starting XI with the predicted lineup, we’re pretty sure we got the rest of the team correct
