Rangers must continue to turn the screw on Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers who cut an interview short as the pressure mounts at Parkhead.
Rangers have cut a seven-point lead at the top of the Scottish Premiership to now top the division by two points after a whirlwind start to 2024.
After Rangers dismantled Hearts 5-0 at Ibrox the pressure was on Celtic to go and get as result against Motherwell at Fir Park.
Scoring two late goals to win the match 3-1, a poor first-half performance and growing nervousness has done little to disuade doubters in the Parkhead side’s title credentials.
Brendan Rodgers cuts interview short
Speaking after the game, Brendan Rodgers was being interview by BBC Sport journalist Jane Lewis about the events of Celtic’s trip to Motherwell.
Once again pointing to negative narratives being drawn up around his side, the Celtic manager didn’t take kindly to being asked to expand on what he meant.
The Parkhead boss then stormed away from the interview before saying “good girl” to the female journalist in comments which we’ll put down to mounting pressure.
Listen to a clip of the exchange below, with the full interview available on the BBC Sounds website.
Mounting Rangers pressure on Celtic manager
As per the messaging of Philippe Clement, Rangers need to just keep doing what they’re doing and focus on what’s happening at Ibrox.
Whilst of course supporters aren’t able to resist peeking over the wall at Celtic Park, you can be rest-assured everyone in Govan is taking things one game at a time.
It’s a mantra which has served Rangers incredibly well in recent weeks and excitement is building between the fans, management, club, and players.

Rangers have a momentum whilst serious questions hang over Celtic and Brendan Rodgers.
The interview clip is the latest sign that not all is happy over at Lennoxtown and it’s on Rangers to keep their foot down until the end of the season.
If the Ibrox side can continue to turn the screw then it might just tell in the upcoming weeks with Celtic under pressure and a few more dropped points away from unravelling.
