The 2024/25 Scottish Premiership fixtures have been announced and Rangers now know how their league campaign will begin across August and September.

The Light Blues will be determined to get off to a much better start than a year previously when under Michael Beale, they lost two of their first six league clashes.

Those came against Kilmarnock and Celtic which left Rangers with a mountain to climb by the time Beale was sacked in the October and replaced by Philippe Clement.

That cannot be allowed to happen again. However, Rangers will need to adjust to the unique dilemma of playing away from Ibrox for an indefinite period of time at the beginning of the season.

It’s a huge own goal on the Govan giants’ part and hands an early advantage to Celtic before a ball is even kicked.

Couple that with having to navigate the Champions League qualifiers and it could be a tricky start no matter who Rangers face in the league early on.

Regardless, Rangers News takes a look at the first six games facing Gers in the league before comparing those to Celtic.

Do Rangers have a better chance of grabbing maximum points based purely on the opposition compared to the Hoops? Make up your own minds.
