Rangers fans have heaped praise on Joe Aribo for his performance in Saturday’s opening day Premiership victory over Aberdeen.
The Gers triumphed 1-0 in the behind-closed-doors fixture at Pittodrie, courtesy of a composed Ryan Kent finish in the 21st minute.

It wasn’t plain sailing against Derek McInnes’ side, but a solid debut performance from Leon Balogun helped the visitors to a deserved three points.
Steven Gerrard’s men were quietly effective rather than spectacular, but there were a number of strong individual performances.
Kent was lively throughout and took his goal well, while Borna Barisic was constantly available in attack on the left flank and looked solid defensively.
Joe Aribo was the standout for many, though, as he carried on from an excellent pre-season.
The Nigeria international was allowed relative freedom to roam by his manager and linked the midfield and forward lines effectively.

He showed his quality early on with a fantastic touch and turn that left Andy Considine trailing in his wake.
Thereafter, the former Charlton man oozed quality in possession with a number of strong dribbles and deft flicks.
As Aberdeen searched for an equaliser, the 24-year-old was happy to muck in defensively and he was unfortunate to be robbed of a goal in injury time when Ash Taylor blocked his net-bound shot.
Rangers fans were delighted with his showing and here’s a selection of their reactions from Twitter:
