Rangers last game of the season at home against Dundee saw Philippe Clement looking to close the gap on Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premiership table whilst it was still mathematically possible.

The manager had more than double figures missing from his squad with a subdued Ibrox looking for any sort of evidence that victory in the Scottish Cup is even remotely possible.

Here are your Rangers player ratings for Dundee’s visit with one league game to go in a season that many will want to forget as quickly as the first half of this game.

Rangers player ratings v Dundee

Philippe Clement must be wondering what other options he has, here are your rattings:

Jack Butland – 6

No chance with either goal but was lucky to get away with an own goal after miscontrolling a Ben Davies pass back.

Handling was solid as per usual.

James Tavernier – 4

Very quiet.

It is this type of display that sees him come in for so much criticism.

Ridvan Yilmaz – 7

Partially at fault for Dundee’s opener but he seemed like Rangers only attacking threat for much of the first half.

Continued in the second half as he took matters into his own hands on several occasions.

Ben Davies – 6

As with against Celtic, individually he didn’t really put a foot wrong.

Leon King – 5

Forward passing was exactly what Rangers needed, however, both goals saw players score that he should have been tighter to.

In fairness, it’s his first start of the season and all the football he has played has been in midfield.

Nicolas Raskin – 7

Played further forward than John Lundstram does and trusted his defenders to build play but was isolated far too often.

Grew into the game and dominated the midfield in the second half.

Todd Cantwell – 9

Fouled almost every time he got the ball and referee let Dundee get away with it, was only a surprise he didn’t go off injured.

Sensational cross for Dessers goal, even better one for Rangers third.

Was unplayable in the second half.

Mohamed Diomande – 3

For what ever reason, he’s like a man down just now and needs to adapt quickly to Scottish football.

Not helping in defence and offering nothing in the final third, the £4.3m fee is starting to look worrying.

Games are passing him by.

Fabio Silva – 6

Could have opened the scoring and made some incisive runs to break Dundee’s lines.

Clearly has technical ability but needs to add numbers to progress his game, had a few chances to score.

Cyriel Dessers – 6

Took his goal really well, however, gave the ball away far too often and got in the way on more than one occasion.

Needs to learn when to create space for others.

Ross McCausland – 8

Started really poorly and blew the chance to play in Dessers for a sitter before missing one himself.

Hard work got it’s rewards with the first Rangers goal and an assist for Scott Wright.

Substitutes

Robbie Fraser – 7

Great moment for the B team skipper as he made his Ibrox debut.

Defended well and nearly had an assist, was a constant threat down the left.

Cole McKinnon – 7

Came on at right back to replace King with Tavernier going into the middle.

Usual high work rate from the academy product and he deserves more minutes next season.

Scott Wright – 7

Took his goals well and was as busy as usual off the bench, why can’t he do this from the start?

Kieran Dowell – 6

Lovely assist for Wright, he was composed when it would have been easy to blast it.

Kemar Roofe – 6

Could have scored in build up to Wright’s goal.
