Todd Cantwell has made an impressive start to his life as a Rangers player but the way that he is being refereed is bizarre.
The very definition of “not that type of player” has seen the 24-year old be awarded eight yellow cards in just 18 appearances for Rangers.
Then, there are the incidents questioning Todd Cantwell’s professionalism since signing for Rangers, with Sky Sports the latest to jump on the bandwagon.

Against Motherwell, not long after joining, Todd Cantwell was hit in the face with a flying forearm.
It wasn’t with any intent or massive force but it was enough for Cantwell to let the ref know.
Rather than applying the laws of the game, pundits decided that it was the Rangers player’s fault that Callum Slattery received a second yellow card and was sent off.
For Rangers opener against Hibs, Sky Sports decided to question the call of the referee after Cantwell had clearly been checked and obstructed.
If the defender doesn’t put his arms up to stop the one-time £50m rated Premier League star, then he is away and in a good attacking position.
The club needs to address why Todd Cantwell has, seemingly, replaced Alfredo Morelos as the Rangers player that officials and the media are putting under the microscope.
That there are occasions where the player himself has been the victim of late tackles that went unpunished only to be booked for his first foul just doesn’t sit right.
He isn’t arrogant or cocky, nor has Cantwell arrived at Rangers like Joey Barton, announcing that he is the best player in the league.
Eight yellow cards in 18 games is an incredible figure when you consider what some of the opposition players get away with against us.
It’s also almost as many cards as Celtic have had all season…
