Philippe Clement knows that it will take more than one transfer window to put everything that is wrong with Rangers right.
The squad still has issues with one of those being the lack of homegrown players who can count towards the Europa League squad, as a result, the manager was only able to list 21 senior names instead of the maximum 25.
Most of the best players like; John McGinn, Scott McTominay and Billy Gilmour, are out Rangers price range, however, there are still bargains to be had on the horizon.

Liam Lindsay should be on Rangers radar after Scotland call up
Lawrence Shankland is out of contract next summer, as is Danny Armstrong at Kilmarnock, however, it is a newly called up Scotland squad member who Nils Koppen should be keeping an eye on.
As a youngster playing for Partick Thistle, Liam Lindsay always had something about him.
He wasn’t quite on Alan Hansen’s level in terms of Firhill centre-halves, but he did well enough to earn a move to England where he has been ever since.
Considered as an option for Rangers before, Lindsay will soon be able to discuss a pre-contract agreement.
Having gone under the radar in recent seasons, Scotland’s defensive woes mean that Lindsay could be lining up alongside John Souttar.
Despite earning his first call up at 28, Lindsay never stopped believing, as reported by The Sun:
“I think over the last few years I’ve always been mentioned, be it the media or whatever.
“It’s not that I’ve ever lost faith or anything like that, I just had to keep continuing what I was doing for my club.
“I’ve been playing consistently and been playing well for the last two years. I think I’m playing my best football.
“I was just trying to get my best chance to get in the squad and thankfully it’s come.”
Lindsay could be Helander 2.0 for Clement
Standing over 6ft 3inches tall, Lindsay is a dominant defender very much in the mould of Filip Helander.
He does the basics well and Preston’s defence is never the same without him.
Lindsay is also unfussy in possession and keeps it simple, confident, without being too flashy.
Rangers have missed this profile of defender since Helander’s long-term injury woes saw his Ibrox career all but ended and the former Thistle stopper could be a valuable addition to the squad.
The partnership between Souttar and Robin Propper has looked more solid in recent weeks, however, Leon Balogun won’t be around forever and Lindsay would be more than capable of handling the physical side of the SPFL.
If holes like this can be plugged without breaking the bank and by adding another homegrown option, it can only be a good thing.
