Rangers boss Steven Gerrard has called on the Rangers fans to come up big for the team as they look to overturn their 2-1 Champions League deficit over Malmo next week.
The Ibrox Gaffer has made the call to the Gers legions to descend on Ibrox amid much speculation regarding a potential full-house next week.
The Gers might have to get special dispensation from Glasgow City Council to allow 50k into their ground – but no matter the allocation Rangers fans are committed to being loud and proud.
Ibrox on a European night is a formidable fortress, and the Rangers manager is calling on fans to elevate his side and help earn the club a place in the Champions League Playoffs.
“We are disappointed with the result and disappointed with the couple of goals we have conceded, but there has just been a big moment at the very end of that game which has gone in our favour and it is a big moment in my opinion,” said Gerrard [Rangers].
“It sets it up for next week – it is not the position we wanted to be in, but it is obviously a lot better than going in from 2-0, and we were also on the verge of maybe going even worse as well.
“The injury-time has been very big for us, but our performance over the 90 minutes hasn’t been enough, so we are going to have to go up levels individually and collectively for next week.
“I am going to call on the Ibrox crowd – I have never done it before, but we are going to need them next week for a full 90 minutes and in full voice and with that behind us, and the mentality change in injury time, it could be a big moment.”
Rangers fans will be delighted to oblige and took to Twitter to announce their intentions to get right behind the side from the first whistle to the last in Glasgow:

The Ibrox support were certainly buoyed by that late Steven Davis strike which keeps the Gers firmly in the tie ahead of the Ibrox leg.
However, Steven Gerrard also pulled no punches when he demanded that “six or seven” of his players raise their level ahead of the return clash.
