Rangers are keen on signing Motherwell winger Elijah Just, who continues to make headlines for New Zealand at the FIFA World Cup.
Even before the tournament, Rangers were considered suitors for Just, and his displays in North America have proven why he is liked by the club.
The 26-year-old winger has had a stellar tournament, scoring three goals in as many games for the All Whites.
Which area should Rangers prioritise on strengthening this summer? 🤔
Andrew Cavenagh has made some bold promises!
Rangers can now look to enter talks with Elijah Just following New Zealand’s elimination
New Zealand got knocked out of the World Cup on Saturday morning, following their heavy defeat against Belgium.
Despite ending up on the losing side, Just managed to find the back of the net again and will undoubtedly be viewed as a footballing icon in his country.
His elimination from the tournament is beneficial for Rangers as they can now enter talks with him over a potential move to Ibrox.
What is Ross McCrorie’s best position, according to you?
Rangers have brought him back to Ibrox!
The winger’s contract at Motherwell expires at the end of next season, but there is an option to extend that by another year.
Given his performances at the World Cup, interest in his services will undoubtedly rise, benefiting the Fir Park outfit.
This is why, if the Gers are hell-bent on signing Just, they need to open talks with him imminently, or risk losing out on him to somebody who can overpay for his transfer.

Why Just is an ideal signing for Derek McInnes
Derek McInnes likes deploying a 4-4-2 system or variants of it, and is expected to field a similar setup at Ibrox.
He wants his players to focus on attacking from the flanks, making the most of transitions and also creating chances from the wings.
Just ticks a lot of boxes for McInnes as not only is he capable of holding the width, but he’s very good at drifting inside, occupying half spaces and also offering a goal threat.
If the Rangers boss wants an overlapping right-back, Just is well-suited to play as an inverted winger and help create chances for the strikers.
It remains to be seen just how high up he is on the Light Blues’ priority list, but he certainly would be a signing that the fans would be on board with.
