It’s the time of year when Rangers financial results are published which means that the AGM – annual general meeting – is just around the corner.
Unlike Celtic’s AGM, our meeting usually involves talking about our own club and the issues that fans have with the board, the club and the facilities.
The accounts are stabilising, two years of profit suggests that things are moving in the right direction but what are the burning topics that fans need to be raising at the Rangers AGM.

Rangers AGM questions that should be asked
Everyone will have issues that affect them personally for example, the possible movement of the Union Bears in Ibrox to the Copland Road stand or to behind the goals in the Broomloan.
The allocation given – or at least offered – to Celtic for the Old Firm derby is another contentious matter now that our season ticket holder numbers are higher.
These are three areas that I’d like to see addressed though:
Why has it taken so long to appoint a director of football?
There should always be a contingency for any member of staff leaving and this one is as important as the manager.
One should have been in place before the summer transfer window opened and an explanation is needed as to why, with January fast approaching, that one still hasn’t been appointed.
And, what steps are being taken to ensure that such a delay doesn’t happen again?
Is Philippe Clement being allowed to bring in his own technical staff and is there a plan to replace Jack Ade as head of performance?
The new Gers boss seems to be someone who pays attention to detail, Cyriel Dessers comments about throw in analysis is testament to that.
Brian Gilmour, Alex Rae and Stevie Smith have all been working alongside Clement but what is the long-term plan?

There is also nobody overseeing the strength and conditioning department similar to the role occupied by Jack Ade and Jordan Milsom before him.
If Philippe Clement wants his team to be fitter, he needs a subject matter expert to help him and it should be a position that is independent to the manager but who works towards their goals.
Is there a long-term plan to address the recent lack of development or signing of Scottish players?
This is a necessity, not an option.
Currently, we have Scott Wright, Robby McCrorie and John Souttar as senior players, hardly David Robertson, Ian Durrant and Ally McCoist.
We need to sign more home grown players and trust the ones that come through the academy too.
Fans will always have their own opinions on what is important for them but all these points are relevant to what matters most.
Success on the pitch and giving the manager what he needs to build a Rangers squad that is capable of not only winning the league once but doing it season, after season.
