Rangers have been keen on re-signing Mikey Moore on another season-long loan from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Moore shone in the Scottish Premiership season and was even nominated for Gers’ Player of the Year award.
The 18-year-old also won the PFA Scotland Young Player of the Year award, showcasing just how good a campaign he had at Ibrox.
With Tottenham avoiding relegation, are you now more confident of Mikey Moore returning?
Danny Rohl would love to have him back!
Mikey Moore on vacation with Rangers midfielder Bailey Rice
Moore only became teammates with Bailey Rice last season, and the duo barely shared the pitch together due to the latter’s injury.
However, they seem to have developed a good friendship, and the fact that they are currently on vacation together with another friend suggests that the 18-year-old enjoyed his time at Rangers.
He could have been integrating with the Spurs players and preparing for life under Roberto De Zerbi, but nothing suggests that as of now.
Which Hearts player(s) would you like to see at Rangers next season?
Derek McInnes may be tempted to sign one or two this summer!
The Light Blues have a new manager in Derek McInnes, and he will be making a decision about whether or not he wants the teenager back at Ibrox.
It would also hinge on what Tottenham want and what the winger wants, but it is unlikely that he would not fancy coming back for another year.
He will get regular game time and become a key player at Ibrox, something that he will not have in North London.
What is the latest on Rice’s future at Rangers?
Rice is expected to sign a new Rangers contract and commit the next few years of his career to the Ibrox outfit.
Initially, it seemed like he had made up his mind to leave and move to another club, but he’s made a U-turn on that.
McInnes is unlikely to give him regular game time, so the likely outcome would be for him to go out on loan.
The young midfielder has shown that he has a lot of potential, and going out on loan, ideally to a Scottish Premiership side, would be extremely beneficial for him.
Findlay Curtis also thrived with his loan spell and his performance even got him called up to Steve Clarke’s Scotland squad for the World Cup.
