Promising young Rangers striker Dapo Mebude has secured a loan move to SPFL Championship club Queen of the South.
The transfer was announced by the Rangers Youth Academy Twitter account on Thursday afternoon, with Mebude joining the second-tier club until the end of the season.

It’s a first-ever loan move for the pacy 19-year-old forward and QoS manager Allan Johnston is delighted to have finally pulled off the deal.
“Dapo is a player I have admired for a long time,” he said [Qosfc.com]. “I have tried to bring him to the club in the last three transfer windows, so it goes without saying that I am delighted that we have managed to secure him this time.”
“This gives him a chance to play regular football and kick on with his career. He is young so he is enthusiastic and full of energy and I think he will complement the players we already have.
“Again, we must thank Rangers for allowing the loan to happen.”
Mebude made his senior Rangers debut in the final game of the 2018/19 Premiership campaign at Kilmarnock, playing the last 27 minutes after coming on for Daniel Candeias.
However, he hasn’t made a single first-team matchday squad since then and he spent the first half of this season with the B team.
QoS already had two players on loan from Rangers in James Maxwell and Rhys Breen, while former Ibrox youngster Kieran McKechnie is also on the books at Palmerston Park.
Mebude will be hoping to make his debut for his adopted side in their league fixture at home to Morton on Saturday.
Rangers are also in action at 3pm on Saturday afternoon and a strong RangersTV panel has been confirmed for the clash with Ross County.
