Rangers take on sixth placed St Johnstone on Saturday afternoon, hoping to record their fourth straight Scottish Premiership victory.
Speaking to the club’s website before the game, Saints boss Tommy Wright was full of praise for the Gers.

The last time the two sides met, it took late heroics from Alfredo Morelos to turn the game on its head.
After being a goal down, his dramatic brace secured all three points.
Rangers were abject during the first half in Perth, but that hasn’t stopped Wright from being impressed by Gerrard’s men this season.

“We know it’s going to be a difficult game but I know we’re capable of getting a result – we’ve done it at Ibrox in the past”, Wright told the Perth club’s website.
“I thought we played extremely well here against them last time but obviously this is a different game. They’re in great form at home this season and they’ve improved massively this year.”
“I see them a genuine title contenders and they’ve closed the gap on Celtic from previous seasons. Steven has a squad with a lot of quality.”

High praise indeed from the Northern Irishman.
No matter how flattering his comments in the buildup are though, he’ll be out to wreck the party.
The Saints have already given Gerrard one major scare this season, and they’ll be out to go one step further this time around.
