Would return for Barrie McKay help ease creative woes?

When Barrie McKay was strutting his stuff at Ibrox, he was far and away the club’s most creative player.
So much so that it felt a young McKay struggled to cope with all of the pressure of making things happen at Rangers. Now 24, McKay has added experience and now looks a comfortable player in the English second tier.
Meanwhile in Govan, we struggle against teams who put 10 men behind the ball. Would a return for this ex-Ger be the perfect solution to the problem?

It feels like we’ve been talking about the dire need for creativity at the club for an age.
Between dishing out hammerings and standing up for big performances in big games, we’ve been a stuttering mess against the rest in the league. We just can’t unlock stubborn sides.
Ok, so McKay’s not a midfielder. But he can play in an advanced midfield role and would undoubtedly help share the burden put on Ryan Kent.
That’s if the Liverpool loanee is still here next season.
The reason I say this isn’t just because Barrie McKay is undoubtedly a good player.
But because looking back on his Rangers career he created so much for a forward line bereft of confidence and seemingly unable to convert.

He’s tricky, full of creativity and a real threat in the final third of the pitch. He’s not exactly been terrible down in England either. McKay also
told The Sun he has “unfinished business” at Ibrox.
The winger would be an affordable and creative option for the club. We’d also be getting a much better player with a point to prove.
Is he the creative player Rangers need to pick up points against the most stubborn of sides?
