Rangers’ retail partner Castore have reportedly signed a deal with Premier League outfit Wolves as they look to expand their brand’s footballing portfolio [SportCal].

Those reports come after the Liverpool-based brand also reportedly signed a new deal with another Premier League side in Newcastle United [SportCal].

Rangers were the retailer’s first foray into the football market and these reported deals back up claims from co-founder Tom Beahon who claimed they have two new deals in the pipeline [Forbes].

These are reportedly set to start next season as the up-and-coming retailer makes major moves into the football market with their reported £25m Rangers deal the template for future successes.

Castore are hoping to shake up a stagnant market with their retail deals based on bespoke designs, a quick turnaround on kit production and cash rewards based on sales instead of a flat rate.

The retailer’s time at Rangers so far hasn’t been without issues with plenty of teething problems concerning quality control, customer service and in delivery.

But over the piece the deal has been a gamechanger for Rangers, a club previously hamstrung by a soul-destroying legal battle with retail magnate and Ibrox bogeyman Mike Ashley.

Intrigued by the potential of a new deal with their club, Wolves fans have been looking into Castore’s relationship with Rangers.

The club’s support was very mixed on Twitter as Wolves reportedly prepare to join Castore’s football retail revolution:

The manufacturer’s relationship with Rangers could prove to be a major move for both parties with Castore also claiming they want deals across the top five European leagues over the next 18 months.

Whilst much of the Rangers kit has been a roaring success – 100k tops were sold by August – other items have left a lot to be desired.
