Inverness Caledonian Thistle boss John Robertson has been lavishing Rangers loanee Kai Kennedy with praise amid reports linking the Ibrox club with a new deal for the talented winger.
Kennedy, 18, has been impressing on loan at the Tulloch Stadium this season after Rangers boss Steven Gerrard appeared to take aim at the player during pre-season.

With reported interest from the likes of Manchester City and Bayern Munich – and Kennedy’s deal expiring in the summer – it came as a shock that the player was farmed out to second tier ICT.
But after getting his head down in Inverness Rangers have been linked with re-entering contract talks with the player as they look to convince him to continue his development at Ibrox [Glasgow Live].
John Robertson – Hearts’ all-time greatest scorer and a man who knows the Scottish game well – commended Kennedy for his performance in the 2-0 win over Raith Rovers.
“We talked to young Kai about mixing up his crosses and then taking them on,” said Robertson [ICT].
“I thought he was sensational in the second half.
“I don’t think anybody wouldn’t have enjoyed the performance of Kai Kennedy today.
“I thought he was quietish first half, second half sensational.”
Kai Kennedy has played six games for Inverness this season, making one assist for the Invernesian side.
The highly-rated Rangers youth winger has also made his first-team debut for the Ibrox club, coming on in the 2-0 Scottish Cup victory over Stranraer in January.
