Rangers Youth Academy has been flourishing as of late and there is another young starlet set to get his chance in the first team. Dapo Mebude.

Mebude is the latest in a long line of exciting talents who are connected to Rangers. Ross McCrorie, Glenn Middleton and Billy Gilmour are all making press as their careers get underway.

The likes of midfielder Stephen Kelly and winger Serge Atakayi have also made a first team breakthrough this season.

Dapo is a creative, technical striker with an eye for goal

Alongside Billy Gilmour, Dapo Mebude is probably the highest rated talent to come out of Rangers’ Academy in recent years.

Full name Adedire Awokoya Mebude, he is quick, tricky and has a real eye for goal. At 17, he’s already been capped by the Scotland U19s. Mebude has turned out against the likes of Wales, San Marino and Sweden.

He is also eligible to play for England and Nigeria.

Mebude netted a hattrick against Partick Thistle’s U20s at the end of September. He hit a double against the same side last week.

The mazy dribbler and lethal marksman is a real talent in the Rangers squad.

It won’t be long until he makes his breakthrough at Ibrox.
