What’s the truth behind Nikola Katic & Connor Goldson Rangers “fall-out”?

Radio host and sports personality Billy Young has taken to Twitter to discuss “reports” he claims to have read about a fall-out between Rangers defenders Connor Goldson and Nikola Katic.

The host of Rocksport radio was discussing the reported fall-out on Twitter, claiming that “friction can sometimes be helpful too”.

It’s spawned responses from numerous angry, confused and disagreeing Rangers fans – including Four Lads Had a Dream – but what inspired the comments?

Young’s comments appear to have been born of this story from Football Insider.

They are claiming that Katic was on the receiving end of a verbal lashing from defensive partner Connor Goldson and because of this, he is set to be dropped on Thursday.

They’re claiming that “Ibrox sources” have told them this is the case and described the duo’s relationship as “malfunctioning”.

Make your own mind up on that one.

As Four Lads Had a Dream responded to Bill Young –  if Katic is dropped “he’s dropped on Managers opinion on form, not an imaginary sensationalised ‘spat’”

It’s for the same reason that we think Filip Helander will pip Nikola Katic to a place in the starting XI when Rangers play Feyenoord this Thursday.

I think I’ll take the normally reliable Rangers insider’s comments on the subject more seriously than this apparently “exclusive” Football Insider story.

I’d suggest Bill Young does the same.
