Ryan Kent is out of contract at Rangers at the end of the season, and it does not appear very likely that the winger will stay at Ibrox.

After all, no new deal has been agreed between Rangers and Kent.

And the season ends in a matter of weeks.

True, Rangers manager Michael Beale has publicly said that he plans to speak to the 26-year-old about his future and is keen for him to extend his stay at Ibrox.

However, time is running out.

Then there is the small matter of clubs being interested in the former Liverpool winger, described as “unbelievable” by Rangers midfielder Nicolas Raskin in Football Scotland in March 2023.

Burnley, who will play in the Premier League next season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship, have been strongly linked in recent days.

And reports in Turkey have claimed that Fenerbahce are keen on signing Kent.

Sports Digitale journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu has now reported on Twitter that Ridvan Yilmaz and Kenny Miller have spoken positively about Turkish football to Kent.

Yilmaz joined Rangers from Besiktas in the summer transfer window.

The 21-year-old left-back has played six times for Turkey.

Miller had three different spells at Rangers.

The former Scotland international striker played for Bursaspor in Turkey in 2011.

And it seems that both Miller and Yilmaz have privately given glowing references about Turkish football to Kent.

Sabuncuoglu wrote, as translated from Turkish: “Ryan Kent; He received positive references for Türkiye from Rıdvan Yılmaz and Kenny Miller.”
