An apparently reliable West Ham United insider has claimed that the club could secure Alfredo Morelos for the knockdown fee of four or five million pounds.
The cringeworthy claims come from EXWHUEmployee as he was speaking on the West Ham Way podcast on Phoenix FM (Wednesday 17th July).
ThesE comments are supposed to have been made by an “in the know” blogger. They’re incredible.

“We’ve been linked with a guy called Alfredo Morelos,” said EXWHUEmployee.
“He’s quite a fiery character, obviously he’s South American which obviously the manager [Manuel Pellegrini] would like to work with.

“He’s been on the radar for the four or five million he’s available for.”
After the co-host Dave Walker reacts with amazement, the apparently ITK blogger said, “well it’s the Scottish league and I don’t think they go for as much there.”
WOW.

It’s embarrassing enough that someone who claims to have connections would value the player so low, but also that he’d suggest Rangers would deal at this price.
The club categorically won’t.
Between the low valuation and claiming that he himself “could get a couple” in Scotland, there’s scarcely been a more ignorant transfer report surrounding the striker.
If West Ham, or any other club, seriously value Morelos at that price then the striker is better served waiting for a bigger move to a club which properly values his ability.

Rangers have repeatedly said Morelos won’t budge unless the transfer fee meets their valuation.
According to managing director Stewart Robertson, Rangers want around the £20m mark.
