Last night’s fixture against Hibs is unlikely to live long in the memory of Rangers players and fans alike.
Once more, it was a case of what should have been, with Rangers dominating the opposition but wasting chance after chance to win the game.
However, for one player, it was a huge day off the field.
Goalkeeper, Wes Foderingham, became a father. He publicly welcomed his son, Luca, to the world, via a Twitter post shortly after midday.
Foderingham had been given special dispensation by Steven Gerrard to miss Rangers’ trip to Rapid Vienna last Thursday. Last night, 20-year-old Robby McCrorie, once again deputised for him on the bench.
The return of Allan McGregor in the summer, has seen Foderingham relegated to back-up stopper at Ibrox.
Previously an ever-present, he has had to contend with playing second fiddle to the Scottish number one, making just three appearances so far this season.
However, he hasn’t complained about his current predicament at any point. As a result of that and strong performances in previous seasons, Fod remains popular with the supporters.
Yesterday, Gers fans, as well as ex-teammates, took to twitter to congratulate the 26-year-old.

A huge day for Wes, and he is sure to be appreciative of the support.
With his contract running out in July this year, he may not be around at Ibrox for much longer. Yet, even if only for a short while, Luca is the son of a proud Ger.
