Rangers will be looking to reinforce the club’s exhausted frontline in the January transfer window as Philippe Clement feels the impact of the hectic schedule.
The Rangers manager insists that no club in world football can use their best attacking players in every match with the Ibrox side’s lack of effective options shown up in the last two matches.
Whilst for the time being it remains unclear just who Rangers might target this winter, the situation with Morgan Whittaker at Plymouth has just taken a fresh twist.

Plymouth sack manager amid Morgan Whittaker Rangers links
Rangers have been strongly linked with a move for Morgan Whittaker over the last two years.
Back in January 2023, Rangers failed with a bid for Whittaker after Swansea City had recalled the attacker from a loan spell with Plymouth Argyle.
Plymouth would then break their transfer record to sign Whittaker in a £1m deal at the end of that season after gaining promotion to the English Championship.
One year on and Rangers were being linked again this summer with the Gers reportedly having a £7m Morgan Whittaker enquiry rebuffed.
With Plymouth said to be valuing Whittaker closer to £10m, new Plymouth manager Wayne Rooney claimed only a ‘crazy bid’ would convince the Pilgrims to sell.
But after a disappointing first half of the season, Plymouth have just parted ways with Wayne Rooney with the situation surrounding Morgan Whittaker now very much up in the air.
Plymouth are currently bottom of the English Championship table and on current form the seaside club are hurtling back towards League One at a rate of knots.
Morgan Whittaker on Rangers links
Morgan Whittaker has previously been asked about interest from Rangers and insists his focus is just on performing for Plymouth Argyle.
Whilst the attacker, who is now 23, refused to rule out being interested in a switch to Rangers, Whittaker suggested the entire thing was a win-win for his career.
“I have been in this situation before so I know how to handle it and I found ways it worked for me, and that’s just focusing on what I can do,” said Whittaker, as quoted by the Daily Record.
“I think the difference to when I was at Swansea is I knew I was going to play here.
“In my eyes it was a win-win because I love it here and I’m playing all the time, and if I got the chance to move it would be to the higher level I want to be getting to. I didn’t see it as a bad position to be in.”
Morgan Whittaker has shown himself to have a penchant for the incredible, scoring a range of wonderful goals for Plymouth over the last few seasons.
But this campaign even the winger’s heroics have been unable to save Wayne Rooney’s job, with Whittaker netting just three goals in 16 games this season.
