Watch: Young Gers fan stunned by tickets for Rapid clash

Footage has been picked up by the main Rangers twitter account, of a young fan finding out he is on his way to Vienna this week.

The Gers’ highly anticipated clash with Rapid kicks off at 17:55 on Thursday, and one lucky 13-year-old will be there to soak up the atmosphere.

In the video, the youngster is handed an envelope and is left speechless by it’s contents. As explained by the caption, this week’s trip will be his first ever European away day.

Pure amazement!

Because of the inclusion of the hashtag “RangersFamily’, the tweet was picked up went down an absolute storm. Posted yesterday afternoon, it received over 200 replies from fellow bears.

As a result of the attention it received, the official Rangers account also responded. No doubt their message, provoked a similar reaction from the youngster.

Who can blame him? Thursday night is some occasion for your first away fixture. Rapid’s supporters have established a great reputation throughout Europe, for their raucous and colourful support.

Yet, you can be sure that the travelling supporters will still make themselves heard.

All they and this youngster want, is a result to cap it all off. While, it will be tough, if Gerrard’s men can get this one right, it has all the makings of a magical European occasion.

I hope the wee man got his shirt washed in time for the flight!
