Rangers fans helped ease the pain of a sister’s passing with an emotional minute’s applause in the recent 4-0 win over Dundee.
Fans rose from their seats to honour lifelong Rangers supporter Nicola McNee, a mum-of-two who tragically died of cancer aged only 28. A campaign for the applause was supported by sister Emma.
And it was Emma again who took to Twitter to express her gratitude to supporters.

It was a nice touch from fans to take part in the applause and the message from Emma shows just how grateful she is for it. It was also nice of Tom Miller to mention the tribute in his commentary.
Losing someone as young as Nicola is obviously very difficult for her family. This show of support from Rangers fans has clearly helped to ease the pain of their loss.
It’s not the first time Rangers fans have got involved in a tribute of this kind this season.
Ibrox paid tribute to Grant Armitage back in October after he also lost his battle with cancer. In November, supporters also paid tribute to Craig Murray, who passed away from a lifelong heart condition.
These are just a few examples of the tributes Rangers fans have taken part in for grieving families.
And this message from Emma McNee shows just how big a difference these tributes can make to them.
